About Daniel

Man in white shirt smiling with blurred warm lights background.

If you’re searching for someone who truly understands the unique challenges and joys of life in ministry, consider partnering with the Reverend Dr. Daniel Rodriguez Schlorff. Currently serving as the Senior Minister at Third Congregational Church in Middletown, CT, Daniel has dedicated this part of his ministerial years to guiding clergy through personal and professional growth.

Daniel went to seminary at Meadville/Lombard, which at the time was affiliated with the University of Chicago Divinity School. After receiving the MAR, he then completed the M.Div. and earned the M.A. in Religious Studies at the interfaith Hartford Seminary (HIU), where he is now a candidate for the Ph.D. in Interreligious Studies. Additionally, he completed the Doctor of Ministry at Pacific School of Religion and an MBA at the University of the People. Daniel completed four units of CPE then became certified in Spiritual Direction, Life Coaching, Health and Wellness Coaching, and Personal Training, taking a holistic approach to helping faith leaders achieve fulfillment, balance, and wellness.

But it’s not all about credentials. Daniel draws upon years of lived experience, both as a pastor and chaplain, making his insights deeply empathetic and practical. Add to that his passion for building community and his belief in the transformative power of storytelling, and you’ve got a coach who knows how to listen, understand, and inspire.

When he's not providing guidance, you’ll find him hitting the trails with his dog or making music with one of three ensembles.

Daniel invites you to take the next step toward a more vibrant, balanced ministry. After all, even shepherds need a little nudge sometimes.
